Passport Appointment Online book કરવા પહેલાં Passport Seva portal પર Fresh Passport, Re-issue અથવા સંબંધિત serviceની application submit કરીને Application Reference Number (ARN) મેળવવો પડે છે. ત્યારબાદ applicable fee online ચૂકવીને ઉપલબ્ધ Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) અથવા Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) slot પસંદ કરી શકાય છે.
Appointment મળવી એટલે passport approve થયો એવો અર્થ નથી. Appointment applicantની in-person document verification, photograph, biometrics અને application processing માટે હોય છે. Final decision Passport Issuing Authority કરે છે.
Appointment પહેલાં કઈ application પસંદ કરવી?
- Fresh Passport: applied categoryમાં પહેલી વાર ordinary passport માટે અરજી કરતા હો;
- Re-issue: passport expire થવાનું હોય, expire થઈ ગયું હોય, pages પૂરા થયા હોય, details બદલવી હોય અથવા passport lost/damaged હોય;
- Police Clearance Certificate: PCC માટે અલગ passport service; અને
- Tatkaal: માત્ર eligible caseમાં faster processing category, જેના અલગ documents અને fee conditions હોઈ શકે છે.
ખોટી service પસંદ કરવાથી appointment સમયે application hold અથવા correctionની જરૂર પડી શકે છે. Passport Sevaના service description અને Document Advisorથી category ચકાસો.
Passport Appointment Online book કરવાની રીત
- Official Passport Seva portal ખોલીને register અથવા login કરો.
- Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue અથવા જરૂરી service પસંદ કરો.
- Online form સચોટ રીતે ભરો અને submit કરીને ARN મેળવો.
- View Saved/Submitted Applicationsમાં સંબંધિત application પસંદ કરો.
- Pay and Schedule Appointment અથવા portal બતાવતો સમાન option ખોલો.
- Normal અથવા applicable quota, PSK/POPSK અને ઉપલબ્ધ date/slot પસંદ કરો.
- Portal બતાવેલી revised fee અને service details ચકાસીને online payment પૂર્ણ કરો.
- Payment success પછી appointment confirmation અને ARN receipt download કરો.
- Appointment date, reporting time, centre address અને document instructions વાંચો.
Payment દરમિયાન browser back, refresh અથવા repeated payment ટાળો. Transaction uncertain દેખાય તો નવી payment કરતાં પહેલાં portalના payment-status optionથી existing transaction તપાસો.
Passport appointment માટે કેટલી fee છે?
Passport application fees 1 July 2026થી revise થઈ છે. Fresh/Re-issue, applicant age, booklet pages, validity, Normal/Tatkaal અને service type પ્રમાણે amount બદલાય છે. તેથી જૂના blog અથવા videoમાં બતાવેલી fee copy ન કરો.
Payment પહેલાં official Passport Fee Calculatorમાં service details પસંદ કરીને current amount તપાસો. Appointment broker અથવા unofficial payment link દ્વારા additional charge ચૂકવવાની જરૂર નથી.
Appointment slot ન મળે તો શું કરવું?
- Check Appointment Availabilityમાં સંબંધિત Passport Office અને centreની availability જુઓ.
- Concerned Regional Passport Officeની current appointment-opening time અથવા advisory તપાસો.
- એક જ સમયે multiple tabs, agents અથવા repeated paymentનો ઉપયોગ ન કરો.
- બીજું PSK/POPSK પસંદ કરતાં પહેલાં portal તેને application માટે મંજૂરી આપે છે કે નહીં તે ચકાસો.
- Urgent caseમાં Tatkaal eligibility અને documents અલગથી verify કરો; urgency પોતે approvalની guarantee નથી.
Appointment slots region અને centreની handling capacity પ્રમાણે release થાય છે. સમગ્ર ભારત માટે એક fixed opening time નથી.
PSK અથવા POPSKમાં શું લઈ જવું?
- Appointment confirmation અથવા ARN receipt;
- Document Advisor મુજબના તમામ original documents;
- Required documentsની self-attested photocopies;
- Old passport, Re-issue caseમાં લાગુ પડે ત્યારે; અને
- Special annexure, NOC, declaration અથવા supporting proof, જો applicant category માટે જરૂરી હોય.
Ordinary passport application માટે photograph સામાન્ય રીતે PSK/POPSKમાં capture થાય છે, પરંતુ special service અથવા advisory અલગ requirement બતાવી શકે છે. Generic checklist પર આધાર રાખવાને બદલે application type પ્રમાણે official Document Advisorનો print અથવા saved copy રાખો.
Appointmentના દિવસે શું થાય છે?
- Receiptમાં આપેલા reporting time પહેલાં centre પહોંચો.
- Security અને token process પૂર્ણ કરો.
- Application details, documents, photograph અને biometrics process થાય છે.
- Applicantને details verify કરવાની તક મળે છે; spelling અને personal particulars ધ્યાનથી તપાસો.
- Officer scrutiny પછી acknowledgement અથવા further requirement આપવામાં આવે છે.
Appointment receipt પોતે passport અથવા travel document નથી. Police verification, additional documents અથવા authority decision application type પ્રમાણે પછી થઈ શકે છે.
Appointment reschedule અથવા cancel કેવી રીતે કરવું?
Passport Seva accountમાં login કરીને submitted application ખોલો અને Schedule/Reschedule Appointment option તપાસો. Available date પસંદ કરીને નવી confirmation download કરો. જઈ ન શકો તો શક્ય તેટલું વહેલું reschedule અથવા cancel કરો.
Portal appointment changes પર limit અને validity rules લાગુ કરે છે. અલગ official pagesમાં service-specific limits હોઈ શકે છે, તેથી કોઈ જૂના articleનો fixed count માનવાને બદલે current portalમાં દેખાતી remaining chances અને instruction વાંચો. Fee સામાન્ય રીતે non-refundable હોઈ શકે છે; payment screenની terms તપાસો.
Walk-in appointment મળી શકે?
દરેક applicant માટે walk-in ઉપલબ્ધ નથી. અમુક service, applicant category, camp અથવા Regional Passport Office advisory હેઠળ walk-in મંજૂર હોઈ શકે છે. Online ARN અને supporting documentsની જરૂર તેમ છતાં રહી શકે છે. Centre પર સીધા જવાથી service મળશે એવું માનીને મુસાફરી ન કરો.
Fake website અને agentથી કેવી રીતે બચવું?
Ministry of External Affairsએ passport જેવી દેખાતી fraudulent websites અને apps અંગે ચેતવણી આપી છે. અરજી માટે official domain passportindia.gov.in અથવા official Passport Seva app જ વાપરો.
- OTP, password, card PIN અથવા complete identity documents agentને ન આપો.
- Guaranteed early appointment અથવા guaranteed passport approvalના દાવા પર વિશ્વાસ ન કરો.
- Payment પછી official portalમાં ARN અને transaction status verify કરો.
- URLની spelling અને HTTPS connection ચકાસો.

ના. સામાન્ય Passport Seva flowમાં application submit કરીને ARN મેળવ્યા પછી fee payment અને appointment scheduling થાય છે.

PSK/POPSK appointment booking માટે online payment સામાન્ય Passport Seva flowનો ભાગ છે. Applicable amount service અને category પ્રમાણે official Fee Calculatorમાં તપાસો.
Appointment receipt print કરવી જરૂરી છે?
ARN અને appointment details accessible રાખવી જરૂરી છે. Centreની current instruction પ્રમાણે printed receipt અથવા accepted digital proof લઈ જાઓ; safe option તરીકે printout રાખવો ઉપયોગી છે.
Appointment પછી passport કેટલા દિવસમાં મળે?
એક guaranteed સમય નથી. Police verification, document completeness, application category, authority decision અને dispatch પ્રમાણે સમય બદલાય છે. File number અને date of birthથી official portalમાં status તપાસો.
