Voter ID Card Online Apply કરવા માટે પ્રથમ વખત electoral rollમાં નામ ઉમેરવા માંગતા resident Indian citizenએ Election Commission of Indiaના Voters’ Service Portal પર Form 6 ભરવું પડે છે. માત્ર form submit કરવાથી voter registration approve થતું નથી; Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) application અને documentsની તપાસ કર્યા પછી નામ electoral rollમાં ઉમેરે છે.
Voting માટે physical Voter ID card કરતાં electoral rollમાં નામ હોવું મૂળ શરત છે. Application approve થયા પછી પણ election પહેલાં official electoral searchમાં પોતાનું નામ, constituency અને polling station તપાસો.
Form 6 કોણ ભરી શકે?
- ભારતનો નાગરિક હોય;
- 18 વર્ષ અથવા તેથી વધુ ઉંમરનો હોય, અથવા portal મુજબ આગામી qualifying periodમાં 18 વર્ષ પૂર્ણ કરતો હોય;
- જે address પર registration માંગે છે ત્યાં ordinarily resident હોય; અને
- પહેલેથી કોઈ અન્ય constituencyની electoral rollમાં registered ન હોય.
એક વ્યક્તિ એકથી વધુ સ્થળે voter તરીકે નોંધાઈ શકતી નથી. બીજી જગ્યાએ પહેલેથી નામ હોય અને હવે address બદલાયું હોય તો fresh Form 6 ભરવાને બદલે Form 8ની shifting service વાપરો.
Form 6, Form 6A અને Form 8 વચ્ચેનો તફાવત
- Form 6: resident Indian citizenનું first-time voter registration;
- Form 6A: વિદેશમાં રહેતા અને બીજા દેશની citizenship ન ધરાવતા eligible overseas Indian electorનું registration;
- Form 8: existing voter માટે residence shifting, electoral-roll correction, replacement EPIC અથવા PwD marking; અને
- Form 7: proposed inclusion અથવા existing entry સામે objection/deletion સંબંધિત request.
Voter ID ખોવાઈ ગયું હોય પરંતુ electoral rollમાં નામ પહેલેથી હોય તો new registration ન કરો. Replacement EPIC માટે Form 8ની યોગ્ય service પસંદ કરો.
Voter ID Card Online Apply માટે જરૂરી documents
Current Form 6માં recent unsigned colour photograph, age proof અને ordinary residence proof માંગવામાં આવે છે. Upload સ્પષ્ટ અને readable હોવો જોઈએ.
Age અથવા date-of-birth proof
Form 6માં નીચેમાંથી કોઈ એક self-attested document દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યો છે:
- Competent authority દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલ Birth Certificate;
- Aadhaar Card;
- PAN Card;
- Driving Licence;
- Class X અથવા XII certificate, જો તેમાં date of birth હોય; અથવા
- Indian Passport.
આમાંથી કોઈ document ન હોય તો Form 6માં “Any Other Document” specify કરી શકાય છે, પરંતુ applicantને ERO અથવા designated officer સમક્ષ verification માટે હાજર રહેવું પડી શકે છે.
Ordinary residence proof
Current Form 6 નીચેના residence proofs દર્શાવે છે:
- તે addressનું ઓછામાં ઓછું એક વર્ષ દર્શાવતું water, electricity અથવા gas connection bill;
- Aadhaar Card;
- Nationalised/Scheduled Bank અથવા Post Officeની current passbook;
- Indian Passport;
- Revenue Departmentના land-owning records, જેમાં Kisan Bahi સામેલ છે;
- Tenant માટે registered rent/lease deed; અથવા
- Owner માટે registered sale deed.
Address proof applicantના નામે અથવા same address પર elector તરીકે enrolled parent, spouse અથવા adult childના નામે હોઈ શકે છે. Listed proof ન હોય તો અન્ય document specify કરી શકાય છે અને field verification જરૂરી બની શકે છે.
Aadhaar Card ફરજિયાત છે?
ના. Current Form 6માં applicant પાસે Aadhaar ન હોય તો તે બાબત જણાવવાનો option છે. ECI guidance મુજબ Aadhaar details voluntary છે અને Aadhaar ન આપવું application reject કરવાનો આધાર ન હોવો જોઈએ.
જો Aadhaar આપો તો માત્ર official ECI portal અથવા authorised verification flowમાં આપો. OTP, complete Aadhaar copy અથવા login password agent, caller કે social-media account સાથે share ન કરો.
Voter ID Card Online Apply કરવાની રીત
- Official Voters’ Service Portal ખોલો.
- Mobile number અને જરૂરી વિગતો સાથે Sign-Up કરીને login કરો.
- New Voter Registration હેઠળ Form 6 પસંદ કરો.
- State, constituency અને ordinary residenceની વિગતો ભરો.
- Name English અને stateની official languageમાં spelling સાથે તપાસો.
- Date of birth, relative details અને contact information સચોટ દાખલ કરો.
- Photograph, age proof અને residence proof upload કરો.
- Declaration વાંચીને confirm કરો કે નામ અન્ય electoral rollમાં સામેલ નથી.
- Previewમાં દરેક entry તપાસીને application submit કરો.
- મળેલો reference અથવા acknowledgement number સાચવો.
Online registration માટે કોઈ government application fee નથી. Form officesમાં પણ free ઉપલબ્ધ છે. Paid agentથી Form 6 ભરાવવાથી approvalની શક્યતા વધતી નથી.
Form 6 ભરતી વખતે ખાસ શું તપાસવું?
- Nameની English અને Gujarati અથવા state-language spelling અલગ ન રહે;
- Date of birth document અને entered date match થાય;
- Addressમાં house number, area, village/town, PIN code અને district પૂરાં હોય;
- Uploaded document cropped, blurred અથવા password-protected ન હોય;
- બીજા address પર existing voter registration છુપાવવામાં ન આવે; અને
- Declaration submit કરતાં પહેલાં preview ફરી વાંચવામાં આવે.
Form 6 guidelines મુજબ માત્ર એક languageમાં name ભરવાથી system બીજી languageમાં transliterate કરી શકે છે, જેમાં spelling mistake થવાની શક્યતા રહે છે. બંને entries manually તપાસો.
Application status કેવી રીતે તપાસવું?
- Voters’ Service Portalમાં Track Application Status ખોલો.
- Login અથવા portal દ્વારા માગવામાં આવતી verification પૂર્ણ કરો.
- Form submit કરતી વખતે મળેલો reference ID દાખલ કરો.
- Application ERO/BLO verification, accepted, rejected અથવા other statusમાં છે તે જુઓ.
BLO field verification માટે contact અથવા visit કરી શકે છે. કોઈ additional document માંગવામાં આવે તો official reference સાથે જ submit કરો. Approval માટે કોઈ fixed nationwide timeline નથી.
Approval પછી શું તપાસવું?
Application accepted દેખાય પછી official electoral searchમાં name, constituency, part number અને polling station તપાસો. ECI મુજબ મતદાન માટે નામ electoral rollમાં હોવું જરૂરી છે.
Eligible ordinary electorનું EPIC postal address પર મોકલાઈ શકે છે અને e-EPIC portal અથવા Voter Helpline Appમાં ઉપલબ્ધ થઈ શકે છે. Cardની રાહ જોતા election date સુધી name search કર્યા વગર ન બેસો.
Offline Form 6 કેવી રીતે submit કરવું?
Form 6 ERO, AERO અથવા Booth Level Officerની officeમાંથી free મેળવી શકાય છે અથવા official ECI website પરથી download કરી શકાય છે. Filled form સાથે photograph તથા self-attested age અને residence proofની copies submit કરો. Acknowledgement number જરૂર મેળવો.
સામાન્ય પ્રશ્નો
18 વર્ષ પૂરાં થાય તે પહેલાં Form 6 ભરી શકાય?
ECI portal 18 વર્ષ અથવા તેથી વધુ ઉંમરના તેમજ આગામી થોડા મહિનામાં 18 વર્ષ પૂર્ણ કરનાર eligible applicant માટે new voter registration option બતાવે છે. Portalમાં applicable qualifying date પસંદ કરો.
Tenant Voter ID માટે apply કરી શકે?
હા, ordinarily resident tenant eligible હોય તો Form 6 ભરી શકે છે. Current Form 6 registered rent/lease deedને residence-proof option તરીકે દર્શાવે છે.
Address બદલાયું હોય તો નવું Form 6 ભરવું?
ના. Existing voterએ residence shifting માટે Form 8 વાપરવું જોઈએ. Fresh Form 6થી duplicate enrolment બનાવવાનો પ્રયાસ ન કરો.
Voter ID card હોય એટલે મત આપી શકાય?
મતદાન માટે name current electoral rollમાં હોવું જરૂરી છે. EPIC identity document છે; card દેખાડવાથી electoral rollમાં ગેરહાજર name આપમેળે valid થતું નથી.

પહેલા તપાસો કે તમારું નામ અગાઉથી કોઈ electoral rollમાં નથી. First-time registration હોય તો photograph, age proof અને ordinary residence proof તૈયાર કરીને official portal પર Form 6 submit કરો. Reference ID સાચવો, verificationમાં સહકાર આપો અને approval પછી electoral rollમાં name શોધો.
