ટૂંકો જવાબ: Voter ID અથવા electoral rollમાં નામ, જન્મતારીખ, સરનામું, સંબંધિત વ્યક્તિનું નામ, mobile number અથવા photo સુધારવા માટે Election Commissionનું Form 8 ભરવું પડે છે. અરજી Voters’ Service Portal પરથી online અથવા ERO/AERO/BLO પાસે offline કરી શકાય છે. અરજી પહેલાં voter listમાં હાલની entry તપાસો અને જે detail સુધારવી છે તેનો self-attested proof તૈયાર રાખો.
આ માર્ગદર્શિકા હાલ voter listમાં નોંધાયેલા મતદાર માટે છે. જો તમારું નામ voter listમાં જ નથી અને તમે નવી નોંધણી કરવા માંગો છો, તો Form 8 નહીં પરંતુ Form 6 લાગુ પડે છે. નવી નોંધણી માટે અમારી Voter ID Card Online Apply માર્ગદર્શિકા જુઓ.
સૌથી પહેલાં voter record કેમ તપાસવો?
Voter ID card પર છપાયેલી માહિતી કરતાં electoral rollમાં રહેલી entry વધુ મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે. મતદાન માટે તમારું નામ voter listમાં હોવું જરૂરી છે; માત્ર card હાથમાં હોવું પૂરતું નથી. તેથી correction શરૂ કરતાં પહેલાં official portal પર EPIC number અથવા તમારી વિગતો વડે record શોધો.
- Search in Electoral Roll ખોલો.
- EPIC number અથવા નામ, રાજ્ય, જિલ્લો અને અન્ય વિગતો વડે search કરો.
- નામ, સંબંધિત વ્યક્તિનું નામ, ઉંમર/DOB, gender, address અને constituency ધ્યાનથી તપાસો.
- જે entry ખોટી છે તેનું screenshot અથવા note રાખો. અરજીમાં સાચી spelling એ જ રીતે લખો જે રીતે supporting documentમાં છે.
Record મળી રહ્યો નથી તો તરત correction અરજી ન કરો. પહેલાં EPIC number અને constituency ફરી તપાસો. નામ ખરેખર rollમાં ન હોય તો Form 6 અથવા સ્થાનિક EROની મદદ જરૂરી થઈ શકે છે.
Form 8 કયા કામ માટે છે?
ECIનું વર્તમાન Form 8 નોંધાયેલા મતદાર માટે નીચેની ચાર અલગ સેવાઓ આપે છે:
- Shifting of residence: રહેવાનું સરનામું બદલાયું હોય ત્યારે voter entry નવી જગ્યાએ shift કરવા.
- Correction of entries: હાલની electoral roll/EPIC entryમાં ભૂલ સુધારવા.
- Replacement EPIC: card ખોવાયું, નષ્ટ થયું અથવા ખરાબ થયું હોય ત્યારે replacement માટે.
- Marking as Person with Disability: voter recordમાં PwD status ઉમેરવા.
એક અરજીમાં ઉપરના ચાર service optionsમાંથી માત્ર એક option પસંદ કરવો. ઉદાહરણ તરીકે, address shift અને lost-card replacementને એક જ application તરીકે ન મોકલો. તમારી મુખ્ય જરૂરિયાત મુજબ યોગ્ય option પસંદ કરો.
Voter IDમાં કઈ વિગતો સુધારી શકાય?
Correction option હેઠળ એક applicationમાં વધુમાં વધુ ચાર particulars સુધારવા માંગણી કરી શકાય છે:
- Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth/Age
- Relation Type
- Relation Name
- Address
- Mobile Number
- Photo
ફક્ત એ જ fields પસંદ કરો જેમાં ખરેખર ભૂલ છે. દરેક correction માટે સાચી detail અને તેને સમર્થન આપતો document આપવો જોઈએ. ચારથી વધુ entries બદલવી હોય અથવા portal તમારા caseને સ્વીકારતું ન હોય તો ERO/AEROનો સંપર્ક કરવો વધુ યોગ્ય છે.
કયા documents જરૂરી છે?
એક universal document list નથી. Proof તે field પ્રમાણે પસંદ થાય છે જે તમે સુધારવા માંગો છો. Form 8 સાથે claimને સમર્થન આપતી self-attested copy જરૂરી છે.
Name અથવા relation-name correction
સાચું નામ દર્શાવતો માન્ય document પસંદ કરો. Portalમાં ઉપલબ્ધ document optionsમાંથી તમારા caseને યોગ્ય proof પસંદ કરો. Document અને formમાં spelling, initials અને surnameનો ક્રમ સમાન રાખો.
Date of Birth અથવા age correction
DOB સ્પષ્ટ રીતે દર્શાવતો માન્ય proof આપો. અંદાજિત age અને ચોક્કસ birth dateને ભેળવશો નહીં. Portal પર જે document category ઉપલબ્ધ હોય તેમાં સાચો option પસંદ કરો.
Address correction અથવા residence shifting
Form 8માં દર્શાવેલા address proofsમાંથી યોગ્ય proof જોડો. Current Form 8 મુજબ proof applicantના નામે અથવા એ જ સરનામે પહેલેથી enrolled parent, spouse અથવા adult childના નામે હોઈ શકે છે. Bill અથવા documentમાં address application સાથે મેળ ખાતું હોવું જોઈએ.
ઘર બદલાયું હોય તો માત્ર જૂના cardમાં text edit કરાવવા કરતાં Shifting of residence option પસંદ કરવો. અરજી નવી residence આવેલી constituencyના ERO માટે process થાય છે.
Photo change
તાજેતરનો, સારો અને સ્પષ્ટ unsigned colour photograph આપો. Official Form 8માં 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm, frontal full-face અને white backgroundવાળો photo દર્શાવ્યો છે. Online upload વખતે portalની file type અને size instructions પણ અનુસરો.
Document scan મોટો હોય તો અમારી Mobileમાં PDF Fileનું Size ઓછું કરવાની માર્ગદર્શિકા મદદરૂપ થશે. સંવેદનશીલ documents અજાણી compressor website પર upload ન કરો.
Form 8 માટે Aadhaar ફરજિયાત છે?
ના, Aadhaar ન આપવાને કારણે application reject થવી જોઈએ નહીં. Form 8માં Aadhaar number માટે જગ્યા છે, પરંતુ Aadhaar ન હોય તો તે જાહેર કરવા માટે પણ option છે. ECIએ Aadhaar submission voluntary હોવાનું સ્પષ્ટ કર્યું છે.
Aadhaar details આપો તો number સાચો લખો. Aadhaar પર જૂનું address હોવા છતાં તમારે Voter ID address બદલવું હોય તો યોગ્ય current address proof પસંદ કરો. Aadhaar address પણ બદલવું હોય તો અલગથી અમારી Aadhaar Address Change માર્ગદર્શિકા જુઓ.
Voter ID Correction Online કેવી રીતે કરવું?
- voters.eci.gov.in ખોલો. Domain spelling ચોક્કસ તપાસો.
- Mobile number વડે account બનાવો અથવા login કરો. OTP કોઈ વ્યક્તિ સાથે share ન કરો.
- Forms અથવા correction serviceમાંથી Form 8 પસંદ કરો.
- તમારો EPIC number, state અને voter details તપાસો.
- જરૂર મુજબ માત્ર એક service option પસંદ કરો: shifting, correction, replacement EPIC અથવા PwD marking.
- Correction માટે બદલવાના fields tick કરો અને સાચી details supporting document પ્રમાણે ભરો.
- દરેક claim માટે portal માંગે તે document સ્પષ્ટ રીતે upload કરો. Photo બદલતા હો તો યોગ્ય photo upload કરો.
- Declaration વાંચો. Place અને અન્ય જરૂરી details ભરી previewમાં spelling, number અને address ફરી તપાસો.
- Application submit કરીને મળેલો reference number screenshot અને text બંને રૂપે સુરક્ષિત રાખો.
Submit પહેલાં ખાસ કરીને Gujarati/English spelling, DOB format, house number, PIN code અને selected constituency તપાસો. નાની typing mistakeથી ફરી correction કરવાની જરૂર પડી શકે છે.
Offline Form 8 કેવી રીતે આપવું?
Online અરજી અનુકૂળ ન હોય તો official Form 8 PDF ભરી સંબંધિત Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant ERO અથવા Booth Level Officer (BLO) પાસે આપી શકાય છે.
- Form વાંચી તમારા કામનો માત્ર એક service option પસંદ કરો.
- EPIC number અને existing voter details સાચી લખો.
- Self-attested supporting documentની copy જોડો.
- Photo correction હોય તો prescribed photo લગાવો.
- Submitted formની copy અથવા acknowledgement રાખો.
Gujaratમાં સ્થાનિક ચૂંટણી કચેરી અને voter services માટે Chief Electoral Officer, Gujarat website પણ તપાસી શકો છો.
Application status કેવી રીતે check કરવું?
Voters’ Service Portalમાં login કરીને Track Application Status option ખોલો અને reference number દાખલ કરો. Statusમાં submitted, verification, query, accepted અથવા rejected જેવા stages દેખાઈ શકે છે.
BLO verification અથવા additional clarification માંગવામાં આવે તો official messageમાં આપેલી સૂચના અનુસરો. અજાણ્યા વ્યક્તિને original document, OTP અથવા payment ન આપો. Reference number ખોવાઈ જાય તો login history/SMS તપાસો અથવા EROની મદદ લો.
Correctionમાં કેટલો સમય અને fee લાગે?
Approval માટે એક universal fixed timeline આપવી યોગ્ય નથી. સમય constituency, document verification, BLO report, election schedule અને અરજીમાં query છે કે નહીં તેના પર આધાર રાખે છે. Portalનો live status સૌથી વિશ્વસનીય check છે.
Official application દરમિયાન portal જે બતાવે તે જ અનુસરો. કોઈ agent “ઝડપી approval” અથવા guaranteed correction માટે રૂપિયા માંગે તો સાવચેત રહો. EROનો decision document અને verificationના આધારે થાય છે; middleman approval guarantee કરી શકતો નથી.
Application query અથવા rejectionના સામાન્ય કારણો
- Wrong service option પસંદ કરવો.
- Documentમાં અને formમાં name/DOB/address મેળ ન ખાવું.
- અસ્પષ્ટ, અધૂરો અથવા crop થયેલો document upload કરવો.
- સુધારવાના field માટે યોગ્ય proof ન આપવો.
- Residence shifting વખતે જૂની અથવા ખોટી constituency પસંદ કરવી.
- એક applicationમાં અસંબંધિત services ભેગી કરવી.
- Verification call, visit અથવા portal queryનો જવાબ ન આપવો.
Rejection આવે તો reason વાંચ્યા વગર તરત duplicate application ન કરો. પ્રથમ error સુધારો અથવા ERO/AERO પાસે clarification મેળવો. એકસાથે અનેક applications મોકલવાથી processing સરળ બનતી નથી.
Approval પછી શું તપાસવું?
- Electoral rollમાં updated entry ફરી search કરો.
- Name, relation name, DOB/age, gender અને address ચોક્કસ તપાસો.
- Updated e-EPIC અથવા replacementની availability portal પર જુઓ.
- Correction/shifting પછી replacement EPIC મળે તો ECIની instruction મુજબ જૂનું EPIC EROને પરત કરો.
- ફરી ભૂલ દેખાય તો official record અને approval reference સાથે EROનો સંપર્ક કરો.
Lost અથવા damaged Voter ID માટે શું કરવું?
Details સાચી છે પરંતુ card lost, destroyed અથવા mutilated છે તો Form 8માં Replacement EPIC without correction option પસંદ કરો. Lost EPICના caseમાં current Form 8 FIR/Police Reportની copyનો ઉલ્લેખ કરે છે. Mutilated અથવા old EPIC હોય તો તેને પરત કરવાની instruction હોઈ શકે છે.
જો card પણ ખોવાયું છે અને details પણ બદલવાની છે, તો form options ધ્યાનથી વાંચો અને જરૂર પડે ત્યારે ERO પાસેથી યોગ્ય sequence પૂછો. ખોટો option પસંદ કરીને બે અલગ claims ભેળવશો નહીં.

એક applicationમાં નામ અને DOB બંને સુધારી શકાય?
હા. Correction of entries option હેઠળ વધુમાં વધુ ચાર particulars પસંદ કરી શકાય છે, પરંતુ દરેક correction માટે supporting proof આપવો જોઈએ.
સરનામું બદલવા નવી voter registration કરવી પડે?
તમે પહેલેથી enrolled voter હો તો Form 8નું Shifting of residence option ઉપયોગમાં લેવાય છે. એકથી વધુ જગ્યાએ voter તરીકે નોંધણી કરાવવી યોગ્ય નથી.
Aadhaar ન હોય તો Form 8 submit કરી શકાય?
હા. Formમાં Aadhaar ન હોવાની declaration માટે provision છે, અને ECI મુજબ Aadhaar details voluntary છે.
માત્ર Voter ID cardમાં correction પૂરતું છે?
મુખ્ય બાબત electoral roll entry છે. Approval પછી official voter searchમાં updated record ચોક્કસ તપાસો.
Correction માટે કોઈ WhatsApp number છે?
Application માટે official Voters’ Service Portal, Voter Helpline app અથવા ERO/AERO/BLOનો ઉપયોગ કરો. WhatsApp messageમાં મળેલી અજાણી link પર EPIC, Aadhaar, OTP અથવા document upload ન કરો.
