GCAS Registration 2026–27: College Admission Process

ટૂંકો જવાબ: GCAS Registration દ્વારા Gujaratની participating universities અને collegesના eligible UG, PG તથા અન્ય listed programmes માટે એક common application કરી શકાય છે. 2026–27ની જાહેર થયેલી final VSBC roundમાં registration 23 August 2026 અને admission confirmation 25 August 2026એ પૂર્ણ થયું હતું. હાલમાં GCAS Student Portal મોટાભાગના programmes માટે માત્ર Quick Registration ઉપલબ્ધ હોવાનું દર્શાવે છે; complete form અને નવી admission round શરૂ છે એવું માનીને fee ન ભરવી.

મહત્વપૂર્ણ: GCAS registration, application submission, admission offer અને collegeમાં final admission—આ ચાર અલગ stages છે. Account બની જાય અથવા fee paid દેખાય એટલે seat મળી ગઈ એવું નથી. Eligibility, merit, preference order, available seats, original-document verification અને college fee પછી જ admission confirm થાય છે.

GCAS શું છે અને કોના માટે છે?

GCAS એટલે Gujarat Common Admission Services. Education Department, Government of Gujaratનું આ common portal participating state public universities, associated private universities અને તેમની colleges/departmentsમાં listed programmes માટે application process સરળ બનાવે છે. 2026–27 UG guideline પ્રમાણે વિદ્યાર્થી એક applicationમાંથી એકથી વધુ university-college-program preferences આપી શકે છે, પરંતુ એક application દ્વારા અંતે એક જ university-college-programમાં admission લઈ શકે છે.

Portal પર Under Graduate (Regular), Post Graduate, B.Ed., LL.B., LL.M., M.Ed. અને BAOU distance-learning સહિત programme type પ્રમાણે અલગ options દેખાઈ શકે છે. Exact programme, college અને eligibility દર cycleમાં portalના Know Your College, Admission Rules અને respective university website પરથી તપાસવી.

GCAS અને ACPC એક જ છે?

ના. GCASની 2026–27 official guideline સ્પષ્ટ કહે છે કે જે programmesનું admission ACPC, ACPDC, ACMPC અથવા અન્ય council નક્કી કરે છે, તેમના માટે GCAS પર અરજી કરવાની જરૂર નથી. Engineering, pharmacy, diploma, medical અથવા અન્ય professional programme માટે applicable admission committee/portal તપાસો. માત્ર college Gujaratમાં છે એટલે તેની application GCASથી જ થશે એવું માનવું ખોટું છે.

હાલનું portal message: BAOU સિવાયના programmes માટે માત્ર Quick Registration; complete form filling માટે portal સમયાંતરે તપાસવો

આ તારીખો 2026–27ની final Vacant Seats Based Counselling notice માટે હતી અને હવે પસાર થઈ ગઈ છે. કોઈ special round, reopening અથવા next academic-year schedule આવે તો GCAS News/Notifications અને portalનું current schedule final માનવું. Quick Registration ખુલ્લું દેખાય એટલે admission offerની window પણ ખુલ્લી છે એવું નથી.

Quick Registration પહેલાં શું તૈયાર રાખવું?

HSC/equivalent marksheet મુજબ પૂરું નામ
SSC/School Leaving Certificate મુજબ જન્મતારીખ
વિદ્યાર્થીના ઉપયોગમાં રહેતો active mobile number અને email ID
યોગ્ય Program Typeની પસંદગી
Applicable category certificateની સાચી category
APAAR ID/ABC ID હોય તો તેની વિગતો
Mobile અને email પર આવતાં અલગ OTP મેળવવાની સુવિધા

Registered mobile number અને email ID admission process દરમિયાન બદલવા મુશ્કેલ અથવા unavailable હોઈ શકે છે. Agent, cyber-cafe અથવા relativeનો contact આપવાને બદલે વિદ્યાર્થી પાસે સતત ઉપલબ્ધ રહે તેવો mobile/email વાપરો. Password અને OTP કોઈને આપશો નહીં.

GCAS Quick Registration કેવી રીતે કરવું?

Official GCAS portal ખોલીને Admission/New Student અથવા Registration પસંદ કરો.
તમારા course પ્રમાણે યોગ્ય Program Type પસંદ કરો. Regular UG, PG, BAOU distance programme, B.Ed. વગેરેના options અલગ હોય છે.
APAAR/ABC ID હોય તો દાખલ કરો. Portal અથવા institution તેને higher education માટે માગી શકે છે.
HSC/equivalent marksheet મુજબ નામ અને SSC/Leaving Certificate મુજબ Date of Birth દાખલ કરો.
Certificate મુજબ General, SC, ST, SEBC/OBC અથવા EWS category પસંદ કરો.
વિદ્યાર્થીનો active email ID અને mobile number દાખલ કરો.
Get OTP પસંદ કરીને email અને mobile પર આવેલા અલગ OTP દાખલ કરો.
Captcha ભરી submit કરો. મળેલા Username/Application Number અને password સુરક્ષિત રીતે સાચવો.

Quick Registration પછી તરત full application option ન દેખાય તો duplicate registration ન કરો. Portalનો current notice complete form filling માટે ફરી મુલાકાત લેવાનું કહે છે. Schedule/notification જાહેર થયા પછી existing credentialsથી login કરો.

Complete Applicationના મુખ્ય Steps

Login: Username/password અથવા available OTP loginથી portal ખોલો અને correct Program Type પસંદ કરો.
Registration fee: Dashboardમાં payable amount અને category ફરી તપાસીને online payment કરો; receipt download કરો.
Profile: Personal details, parent/guardian details, address, category અને applicable quota information ભરો.
Academic details: SSC, HSC/diploma/equivalent અને programme પ્રમાણે required marks સાચા દાખલ કરો.
Preferences: University, programme, district અને college filtersથી choices શોધીને ઇચ્છિત priority orderમાં ગોઠવો.
Attachments: Required marksheets, certificates, photo, signature અને applicable supporting documents readable formમાં upload કરો.
Review: Name, category, marks, programme, major subject અને preference order ફરી તપાસો.
Final Submission: Declaration સ્વીકારી form submit કરો અને application PDF સાચવો.

Final Submission પછી form lock થઈ શકે છે. Portal roundમાં edit/unlock option આપે તો correction કર્યા પછી ફરી Final Submit કરવું ફરજિયાત છે; માત્ર edit કરીને બહાર નીકળી જશો તો application admission considerationમાં ન આવી શકે.

GCAS Registration Fee કેટલી છે?

2026–27 UG guidelineના Program Type અને summary sectionsમાં General માટે ₹300 અને SC, ST, SEBC, EWS તથા eligible PwBD માટે ₹150 non-refundable fee દર્શાવાઈ છે. પરંતુ એ જ official bookletના payment-page explanationમાં SEBCને ₹300 સાથે લખાયું છે. તેથી SEBC applicantએ article અથવા screenshotના આધારે amount ન માનવી—portal dashboardમાં category સામે દેખાતી payable fee તપાસીને જરૂર પડે તો GCAS help channelથી confirm કરવી.

Fee paid થયા પછી Program Type/category બદલાઈ ન શકે અને registration fee refund થતી નથી એવું official guideline કહે છે. Payment કરતાં પહેલાં programme અને category ખાસ તપાસો. Transaction debit થયા છતાં status pending હોય તો તરત બીજી payment ન કરો; transaction reference અને receipt સાચવી portal/help centreની guidance લો.

કયા Documents Upload કરવા પડે?

Final list formમાં આપેલી વિગતો, programme, category અને quota પ્રમાણે બદલાય છે. Student portal હાલમાં નીચેના common records દર્શાવે છે:

Recent passport-size photograph—JPG/JPEG, maximum 5 MB
Applicant signature—JPG/JPEG, maximum 2 MB
Date-of-birth proof: Standard 10 marksheet અથવા Birth Certificate
Standard 10 marksheet
Standard 12/equivalent marksheet; multiple attempts હોય તો તમામ attempts
Caste certificate—જો લાગુ પડે
SEBC/OBC માટે Non-Creamy Layer certificate—જો લાગુ પડે
EWS/income અથવા applicable economic certificate
Disability certificate—જો લાગુ પડે
Specific quotaનો benefit માંગ્યો હોય તો supporting certificate
Name change હોય તો Gazette copy અથવા marriage certificate જેવી applicable proof
Programme/applicationમાં માગેલા અન્ય documents

Complete-form guideline attachments માટે JPG, JPEG, PNG અથવા PDF અને maximum 5 MB જણાવે છે. Marksheetમાં માત્ર grade હોય તો marks/percentage Conversion Certificate પણ જોડવું પડી શકે છે. File મોટી હોય તો Mobileમાં PDF Fileનું Size ઓછું કરવાની રીત જુઓ. Category certificate તૈયાર ન હોય તો Gujarat Caste Certificate Online Apply guide ઉપયોગી થશે.

College Preferences કેવી રીતે ગોઠવવી?

Preference માત્ર collegesની list નથી; તેનો ક્રમ admission offer અને upgrade decision પર અસર કરી શકે છે. University, programme, major subject, location, college type, eligibility, fees અને travel/hostel feasibility તપાસીને ખરેખર જ્યાં admission લેવું હોય તે choices જ ઉમેરો. સૌથી વધુ ઇચ્છિત optionને higher preference આપો.

Programmeનું exact name અને major subject તપાસો.
University/collegeની eligibility, merit અને reservation rules વાંચો.
College GCASના Know Your Collegeમાં listed છે કે નહીં તપાસો.
Quota પસંદ કરતાં પહેલાં seat ઉપલબ્ધતા અને valid proof બંને confirm કરો.
Preference save કર્યા પછી final previewમાં priority order ફરી તપાસો.
Roundમાં change કરો તો application ફરી submit કરવાનું ભૂલશો નહીં.

Merit, Admission Offer અને Consent કેવી રીતે કામ કરે છે?

Respective university/college eligibility, merit, tie-breaker, reservation અને available seats પ્રમાણે offer બનાવે છે. Studentએ schedule દરમિયાન dashboard રોજ તપાસવો જોઈએ. Offer મળે ત્યારે તેની Valid Till તારીખ, university-college-program-major subject અને reporting instructions વાંચો.

Dashboardમાં મળેલી offers જુઓ.
જે offer સ્વીકારવી હોય તે સામે Confirm Offer કરો.
Higher preference માટે આગળની roundમાં રહેવું હોય તો applicable Consent/Upgrade option સમજ્યા પછી પસંદ કરો.
Offer letter download/print કરો.
Original certificates અને self-attested copies સાથે deadline પહેલાં university/collegeમાં personally report કરો.
College rules મુજબ fee ભરો અને પોતાના registered mobile/email પર આવેલ OTPથી admission confirmation પૂર્ણ કરો.

Offer online confirm કરીને collegeમાં ન જશો, original documents verify નહીં કરાવો અથવા Valid Till પહેલાં fee/OTP confirmation નહીં કરો તો offer lapse થઈ શકે છે. બીજી તરફ, offer reject/ignore કરવાથી lower preferences deactivate થવાની અસર પડી શકે છે. Consent અથવા upgrade option click કરતાં પહેલાં current roundની official instructions વાંચો.

Application અટકવાના સામાન્ય કારણો

Wrong Program Type: Regular UG, PG, BAOU અથવા professional-admission route ગેરસમજથી પસંદ કરવો.
Name mismatch: Marksheetમાં surname/nameનો ક્રમ, space અથવા spelling અલગ દાખલ કરવી.
Wrong category: Valid certificate વગર reserved category પસંદ કરવી અથવા payment પહેલાં category ચકાસવી નહીં.
Academic error: Percentageના સ્થાને percentile નાખવું, attempts/subjects અધૂરા દાખલ કરવાં.
Unreadable upload: Blurred, cropped, password-protected અથવા incomplete document.
Preference mistake: Wrong college, programme, major subject અથવા priority order.
Form not resubmitted: Edit/unlock કર્યા પછી ફરી Final Submission ન કરવું.
Offer missed: Dashboard, Valid Till date અથવા college reporting instruction સમયસર ન જોવું.
Duplicate registration: Existing login હોવા છતાં નવું account બનાવવું.

Password, Form અથવા Admissionમાં Problem આવે તો?

Forgot Password: Login page પર Email ID, Application Number અને Date of Birthથી reset process શરૂ કરો.
Form filling help: GCAS portal પર દર્શાવેલા Free Form Filling Centre/Help Centreની મુલાકાત લો.
College/program search: Homepageના Know Your College featureનો ઉપયોગ કરો.
Offer અથવા merit grievance: Respective affiliating universityનો સંપર્ક કરો; merit અને college admission university/college rules હેઠળ થાય છે.

Unofficial WhatsApp group, paid agent અથવા “guaranteed seat” claim પર વિશ્વાસ ન કરો. GCAS fee સિવાય college fee respective institutionની હોય છે; admission અથવા refund અંગે portal અને institutionની official receipt જ સાચવો.

GCAS Quick Registration કર્યા પછી form complete ગણાય?

ના. Quick Registrationથી login credentials/application identity બને છે. Fee, profile, academic details, preferences, attachments અને Final Submission ઉપલબ્ધ admission schedule પ્રમાણે અલગથી પૂર્ણ કરવાં પડે છે.

GCAS registrationથી admission guaranteed છે?

ના. Admission respective university/collegeની eligibility, merit, tie-breaker, reservation, seat availability, document verification અને fee confirmation પર આધારિત છે.

એક applicationમાં કેટલી colleges પસંદ કરી શકાય?

Official general instructions multiple universities, colleges, streams અને courses પસંદ કરવાની મંજૂરી અને one-time application fee જણાવે છે. પરંતુ actual preference options current programme અને portal rules પ્રમાણે દેખાશે. અંતે એક applicationથી એક university-college-programમાં admission લઈ શકાય છે.

ABC ID વગર registration થઈ શકે?

Quick Registration guideline કહે છે કે APAAR/ABC ID allotted હોય તો દાખલ કરો અને higher education માટે તે જરૂરી છે; ન હોય તો official ABC serviceથી બનાવવાની guidance આપે છે. Current form અને institutionની requirement તપાસો.

Confirmed admission cancel કરી શકાય?

Official guideline portal પર OTPથી cancellation option દર્શાવે છે. Collegeમાં ભરેલી feeનો refund respective university/collegeના rules પ્રમાણે થાય છે; GCAS registration fee non-refundable છે.
