Driving Licence Renewal Online માટે Sarathi Parivahan portal પર પોતાના stateની service પસંદ કરીને application submit કરી શકાય છે. સામાન્ય રીતે existing Driving Licence details, Form 2, physical-fitness declaration અથવા applicable medical certificate, documents અને portal પર દર્શાવાતી fee જરૂરી થાય છે. દરેક stateમાં document upload, Aadhaar authentication, appointment અને RTO visitની પ્રક્રિયા થોડી અલગ હોઈ શકે છે.
Licence expire થવાની રાહ જોવી જરૂરી નથી. Official Parivahan guidance મુજબ renewal application expiry પહેલાં વધુમાં વધુ એક વર્ષના સમયગાળામાં કરી શકાય છે. Expiry પછી એક વર્ષથી વધુ મોડું થાય તો applicable vehicle categories માટે driving retest આપવો પડી શકે છે.
Renewal, duplicate અને correction વચ્ચે શું તફાવત છે?
- Renewal: Driving Licenceની validity પૂરી થતી હોય અથવા પૂરી થઈ ગઈ હોય ત્યારે;
- Duplicate Licence: Licence ખોવાઈ ગયું, ચોરાયું, ફાટ્યું અથવા unreadable થયું હોય ત્યારે;
- Change of address: Licence પરનો residential address બદલવો હોય ત્યારે; અને
- Name correction: Licenceમાં name અથવા spelling બદલવાની request હોય ત્યારે.
Renewal કરવાથી address કે name આપમેળે correct થતું નથી. બીજી service પણ જોઈએ તો Sarathi portalમાં ઉપલબ્ધ combined અથવા additional service પસંદ કરો અને તે માટે માંગવામાં આવતા proofs આપો.
Driving Licence renewal ક્યારે કરવું?
Licence પર છપાયેલી validity date અથવા DigiLocker/mParivahanમાં દેખાતી record date તપાસો. Official guidance મુજબ application expiryથી એક વર્ષ પહેલાં સુધીના સમયગાળામાં entertain થઈ શકે છે. વહેલી અરજી કરવાથી document correction, medical certificate અથવા RTO appointment માટે પૂરતો સમય મળે છે.
Licence expire થઈ ગયું હોય તો તેને valid licence માનીને વાહન ચલાવવું યોગ્ય નથી. “Expiry પછી એક વર્ષમાં renewal કરી શકાય”નો અર્થ એક વર્ષનું driving grace period નથી. Renewal complete થાય ત્યાં સુધી applicable law અને portal/RTO instruction અનુસરો.
Driving Licence Renewal Online માટે જરૂરી documents
Applicant અને state પ્રમાણે exact list portal પર દેખાય છે. સામાન્ય રીતે નીચેની વસ્તુઓ તૈયાર રાખો:
- Existing Driving Licence number અને date of birth;
- Application Form 2ની વિગતો;
- Non-transport vehicle માટે applicable Form 1 physical-fitness self-declaration;
- Transport licence અથવા 40 વર્ષથી વધુ ઉંમરના applicant માટે Form 1A medical certificate;
- Recent photograph અને signature, જો portal upload માંગે;
- Address proof, ખાસ કરીને address change service સાથે પસંદ કરી હોય ત્યારે; અને
- Application acknowledgement, fee receipt અને appointment slip, જો generate થાય.
Documentનો photograph કે scan clear, સંપૂર્ણ અને readable રાખો. Blurred scan, cropped licence, ખોટી date of birth અથવા mismatch nameથી application objectionમાં જઈ શકે છે.
Form 1 અને Form 1A ક્યારે જરૂરી છે?
Form 1: physical-fitness self-declaration
Non-transport vehicle માટે applicant પોતાની physical fitness અંગે self-declaration આપે છે. Portalમાં questions ધ્યાનથી વાંચીને સાચી health information આપો. કોઈ condition driving safetyને અસર કરતી હોય તો તેને છુપાવશો નહીં.
Form 1A: medical certificate
Official renewal requirements મુજબ transport vehicle licence માટે અને 40 વર્ષથી વધુ ઉંમરના applicant માટે certified medical practitionerનું Form 1A જરૂરી છે. Current prescribed form જ વાપરો અને doctorની details, registration information, photograph તથા signature જેવી required entries અધૂરી ન છોડો.
Driving Licence Renewal Online કરવાની રીત
- Official Sarathi Parivahan portal ખોલો.
- જે state અથવા Union Territoryમાં licence service લેવાની છે તે પસંદ કરો.
- Driving Licence menuમાંથી Services on DL (Renewal/Duplicate/AEDL/Others) જેવી applicable service ખોલો.
- Driving Licence number, date of birth અને captcha/verification details દાખલ કરો.
- Displayed licence record applicantનું જ છે અને vehicle classes સાચી છે તે તપાસો.
- Renewal of DL service પસંદ કરો. Address અથવા name change જોઈએ તો available additional service અલગથી પસંદ કરો.
- Applicant details, current address, mobile number અને declarations ચકાસો.
- Portal જે documents, photograph, signature, Form 1 અથવા Form 1A માંગે તે upload કરો.
- Portal પર calculate થયેલી fee અને user charges ચકાસીને official payment gatewayથી payment કરો.
- Appointment અથવા RTO visit બતાવાય તો slot book કરો અને originals સાથે હાજર રહો.
- Application number, acknowledgement અને payment receipt download કરીને સાચવો.
Menu wording અને sequence state પ્રમાણે બદલાઈ શકે છે. માત્ર parivahan.gov.in અથવા sarathi.parivahan.gov.in domainથી service શરૂ કરો. Search resultમાં દેખાતી private “DL renewal” website પર licence, Aadhaar, OTP અથવા card details ન આપો.
Aadhaar authentication અને RTO visit
કેટલાક statesમાં Aadhaar-based contactless service ઉપલબ્ધ હોઈ શકે છે. પરંતુ દરેક application સંપૂર્ણ online થશે એવું માનશો નહીં. Record mismatch, medical certificate, biometric/photo requirement, transport category, address change અથવા state workflowને કારણે RTO visit બતાવવામાં આવી શકે છે.
Portal appointment બતાવે તો existing licence, application receipt અને uploaded documentsના originals સાથે જાઓ. Appointment વગર visit કરવાની જરૂર છે કે નહીં તે concerned RTO અથવા state portal instruction પરથી તપાસો.
Driving Licence renewal fee કેટલી છે?
Renewal fee સાથે late fee, smart-card charge, postal charge અથવા portal user charge લાગુ પડી શકે છે. Amount application date, delay, state અને selected services પ્રમાણે બદલાઈ શકે છે. તેથી articleમાં જૂની fixed amount પર આધાર રાખવાને બદલે Sarathi applicationની fee-calculation screen પર દેખાતી breakup તપાસો.
- Payment પહેલાં applicant અને selected service ફરી તપાસો;
- Failed transactionમાં તરત બીજી વાર pay કરતા પહેલાં payment status જુઓ;
- Receipt download કરો અને bank reference number સાચવો; અને
- Agentને cash આપવાથી official fee receipt મળે તેની ખાતરી થતી નથી.
Licence એક વર્ષથી વધુ સમયથી expired હોય તો?
Official Parivahan guidance મુજબ expiry પછી applicationમાં એક વર્ષથી વધુ delay હોય તો applicantને applicable vehicle categories માટે driving retest આપવો પડી શકે છે. Sarathi portalની instruction અનુસરો અને concerned licensing authority test અથવા additional documents માંગે તો તે પૂર્ણ કરો.
Long-expired licence માટે renewal automatic approve થશે અથવા માત્ર late feeથી complete થશે એવી ખાતરી કોઈ private agent આપી શકતો નથી. Record available ન હોય, licence બીજા stateમાં issue થયું હોય અથવા details migrate ન થયેલી હોય તો RTO assistance જરૂરી બની શકે છે.
Application status કેવી રીતે તપાસવું?
- Sarathi portal પર પોતાનું state પસંદ કરો.
- Application Status option ખોલો.
- Application number, date of birth અને captcha દાખલ કરો.
- Scrutiny, document verification, fee, appointment, approval અથવા dispatch status જુઓ.
Payment successful હોવું renewal approval સમાન નથી. Applicationમાં objection અથવા pending action દેખાય તો portal instruction વાંચો. કોઈ fixed nationwide processing period નથી; state workflow અને verification પ્રમાણે સમય બદલાય છે.
Application અટકવાના સામાન્ય કારણો
- Licence number અથવા date of birth ખોટી formatમાં દાખલ કરવી;
- Old licence record Sarathiમાં ન મળવો અથવા state mismatch;
- Name, date of birth અથવા address documents સાથે match ન થવું;
- Required Form 1A અધૂરું, જૂનું અથવા uncertified હોવું;
- Wrong service પસંદ કરવી, જેમ કે renewalના બદલે duplicate;
- Payment debit થયા પછી status verify કર્યા વગર ફરી payment કરવું;
- Appointment book થયા પછી originals વગર RTO જવું; અથવા
- Application number અને receipt સાચવી ન રાખવી.

Online અરજી પછી old Driving Licence રાખવું?
