PUC Certificate Online portal પરથી fresh certificate ઘરે બેઠા issue થતું નથી. Vehicleને authorised Pollution Under Control centre પર લઈ જઈ actual emission test કરાવવો પડે છે. Test pass થયા પછી centre national PUC systemમાં certificate issue કરે છે; ત્યારબાદ vehicle owner Parivahan portal પરથી તેની copy online download કરી શકે છે.
Certificate પર test date, emission readings, result અને valid-up-to date તપાસો. Fee અને validity vehicle type, fuel, emission norm તથા state notification પ્રમાણે બદલાઈ શકે છે, તેથી જૂની fixed amount અથવા universal six-month rule પર આધાર ન રાખો.
PUC Certificate શું છે?
Pollution Under Control Certificate દર્શાવે છે કે testના સમયે vehicleમાંથી નીકળતા applicable pollutants prescribed limitની અંદર હતા. Petrol/CNG/LPG vehicle માટે multi-gas analyser અને diesel vehicle માટે opacity/smoke meter જેવી approved equipment વપરાય છે.
PUC certificate vehicleની overall roadworthiness, insurance validity અથવા mechanical safetyનું certificate નથી. Valid registration, insurance, driving licence અને other required documents અલગથી જાળવવા પડે છે.
Online apply અને online downloadમાં તફાવત
- Fresh PUC/renewal: Vehicle authorised PUC centre પર physically present હોવું અને emission test pass કરવું જરૂરી;
- PUC download: Already-issued certificateની copy official portal પરથી મેળવી શકાય;
- PUC centre search: State અને RTO/office પ્રમાણે active authorised centres શોધી શકાય; અને
- Certificate history: Portal પર vehicle માટે available past/current PUC records જોઈ શકાય.
કોઈ website માત્ર RC details અને payment લઈને emission test વગર “valid PUC” આપવાની વાત કરે તો તેનો ઉપયોગ ન કરો. Valid PUCC authorised testing process પછી national systemમાંથી generate થવું જોઈએ.
PUC માટે શું લઈને જવું?
- Emission test માટે vehicle;
- Vehicle registration number;
- RC અથવા mParivahan/DigiLockerમાં available registration details;
- Existing/expired PUC certificate, જો available હોય;
- Vehicle ownerનો active mobile number, centre/system માંગે તો; અને
- Applicable test fee માટે payment method.
Vehicleનો registration plate readable રાખો. Engine normal operating conditionમાં હોવું, exhaust system intact હોવું અને vehicleને manufacturer-recommended maintenance મળેલી હોવી test માટે મદદરૂપ છે.
Authorised PUC centre કેવી રીતે શોધવું?
- Official PUC Centre List page ખોલો.
- Vehicle જે stateમાં test કરાવવાનું છે તે state પસંદ કરો.
- Applicable RTO/office પસંદ કરો.
- Active centre listમાં centre code, authorised name, address અને supported vehicle type જુઓ.
- જતાં પહેલાં centre active છે અને તમારા fuel/vehicle categoryનું test કરે છે તે confirm કરો.
Petrol pump પર test facility હોવી સામાન્ય છે, પરંતુ દરેક petrol pump authorised PUC centre નથી. Portal પર active listing અથવા displayed authorisation/centre code તપાસો.
PUC emission test કેવી રીતે થાય છે?
- Operator vehicle registration details national PUC softwareમાં દાખલ કરે છે.
- Vehicle અને fuel type પ્રમાણે approved testing equipment પસંદ થાય છે.
- Probe vehicleના exhaust pipeમાં યોગ્ય રીતે મૂકવામાં આવે છે.
- Applicable operating conditionમાં emission/smoke readings લેવામાં આવે છે.
- System measured valuesને prescribed limits સાથે compare કરે છે.
- Vehicle pass થાય તો system-generated PUC certificate issue થાય છે.
- Vehicle fail થાય તો rejection slip/result મળે અને repair પછી retest જરૂરી બને.
Current national portal PUC centres માટે testing દરમિયાન centre identity, vehicle registration, probe insertion અને testing area સ્પષ્ટ દેખાય તેવી video-capture requirements પણ બતાવે છે. આ transparency measure centreની responsibility છે; vehicle ownerએ test bypass કરાવવાનો પ્રયાસ ન કરવો.
Petrol અને diesel testમાં શું માપવામાં આવે છે?
Petrol, CNG અને LPG vehicles
Applicable vehicle/emission norm પ્રમાણે carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) અને lambda જેવી readings લેવામાં આવી શકે છે. Exact limits vehicleના manufacturing/emission standard પર આધારિત છે.
Diesel vehicles
Diesel testમાં smoke density અથવા opacity applicable procedureથી માપવામાં આવે છે. Engine condition, fuel quality, air filter, injector અને exhaust system resultને અસર કરી શકે છે.
Vehicle ownerએ instrument reading manually choose કરવાની નથી. Approved equipment અને national PUC software actual vehicle category પ્રમાણે result process કરે છે.
PUC Certificate Online download કેવી રીતે કરવું?
- Official PUC Certificate page ખોલો.
- Vehicle registration number spaces/hyphensની displayed format મુજબ દાખલ કરો.
- Chassis numberના last five characters દાખલ કરો.
- Security code/captcha ભરો.
- PUC Details અથવા displayed submit action પસંદ કરો.
- Vehicle details, test date અને valid-up-to date match કરો.
- Available print/download optionથી certificate PDF/save copy મેળવો.
Official Form 59 PUC certificate national registerમાંથી system-generated હોય છે અને signatureની જરૂર નથી. Certificateમાં vehicle number અથવા chassis detail mismatch હોય તો certificateનો ઉપયોગ કરતાં પહેલાં issuing centre/RTO પાસે correction પૂછો.
PUC certificate portal પર ન મળે તો?
- Registration number સાચી formatમાં દાખલ થયો છે કે નહીં તપાસો;
- RC પરથી chassisના exact last five characters નાખો;
- Certificate issue થયા પછી data sync માટે થોડો સમય આપો;
- Issuing centreની receipt અને certificate number સાથે centreનો સંપર્ક કરો;
- Vehicle registration record national systemમાં available છે કે નહીં RTO પાસે તપાસો; અને
- Technical portal problem માટે official Vahan PUCC helpdesk વાપરો.
Portal record ન મળવાથી duplicate unofficial certificate બનાવશો નહીં. Testing centreએ correct registration number પર certificate issue કર્યું છે કે નહીં પહેલા verify કરો.
PUC validity કેટલી હોય છે?
Vehicle માટે operative date certificate પર લખેલી Valid Upto date છે. Validity vehicle age, emission norm, fuel/category અને applicable rule/state implementation પ્રમાણે બદલાઈ શકે છે. દરેક vehicle માટે automatically six months અથવા one year માની લેવું યોગ્ય નથી.
Expiry પહેલાં authorised centre પર fresh test કરાવો. Existing certificateનું online reprint કરવાથી validity extend થતી નથી; renewal માટે vehicleનું નવું emission test જરૂરી છે.
PUC fee કેટલી છે?
PUC test fee state notification, vehicle category અને fuel type પ્રમાણે નક્કી થઈ શકે છે. National portalની Notifications sectionમાં state-specific orders ઉપલબ્ધ હોઈ શકે છે. Gujarat માટે current authorised rate centre અથવા state transport notification પરથી તપાસો.
Payment પછી receipt લો અને vehicle category/fuel સાચું લખાયેલું છે તે તપાસો. Agent દ્વારા “online renewal” માટે extra fee આપવાથી emission testની requirement દૂર થતી નથી.
Vehicle PUC test fail થાય તો શું કરવું?
- Rejection slipમાં measured reading અને failed parameter જુઓ;
- Authorised service centre/mechanic પાસે engine tuning અને diagnosis કરાવો;
- Air filter, spark plugs, injectors, fuel system, catalytic converter અથવા exhaust issue applicable હોય તો તપાસાવો;
- Visible smoke, unusual fuel consumption અથવા engine warning light અવગણશો નહીં; અને
- Repair પછી authorised PUC centre પર retest કરાવો.
Test pass કરાવવા temporary adjustment કરીને મૂળ mechanical fault છુપાવવું યોગ્ય નથી. High emissions fuel cost, engine performance અને air pollutionની સમસ્યા દર્શાવી શકે છે.
PUC certificateમાં શું તપાસવું?
- PUC certificate serial number;
- Vehicle registration number;
- Vehicle category અને fuel type;
- Emission norm, જ્યાં shown હોય;
- Test date અને time;
- Measured pollution values અને permissible limits;
- Result/status;
- Valid-up-to date;
- PUC centre code/name; અને
- System/QR verification details, જો certificateમાં available હોય.
Wrong vehicle number ધરાવતું certificate તમારું valid PUC proof નથી. Test centre છોડતાં પહેલાં details match કરો.
PUC expire થાય તો શું જોખમ છે?
Applicable motor-vehicle and pollution-control rules હેઠળ vehicle ownerએ valid PUC રાખવું પડે છે. Expired અથવા unavailable certificate માટે enforcement action, challan અથવા other legal consequences થઈ શકે છે. Exact penalty અને enforcement procedure current law/state implementation પ્રમાણે તપાસો.
Insurance, RC અથવા service record valid હોવા છતાં expired PUCની ખામી દૂર થતી નથી. Expiry date calendar reminderમાં રાખો અને deadline પહેલાં test કરાવો.

ઘરે બેઠા PUC renew થઈ શકે?
ના. Renewal માટે vehicleનું actual emission test authorised centre પર જરૂરી છે. Online portal existing issued certificate download કરવા માટે ઉપયોગી છે.
PUC certificate ખોવાઈ જાય તો ફરી test કરાવવો?
Certificate હજુ valid છે અને record portal પર ઉપલબ્ધ છે તો official PUC portal પરથી copy download કરી શકાય છે. Validity expire થઈ હોય તો fresh test જરૂરી છે.
બીજા stateમાં PUC test કરાવી શકાય?
National PUC systemમાં authorised centre અને vehicle record available હોય તો service શક્ય હોઈ શકે છે, પરંતુ vehicle/state implementation અલગ થઈ શકે છે. જતાં પહેલાં portal listમાં active centre અને supported vehicle type confirm કરો.
Electric vehicle માટે PUC જોઈએ?
Pure battery electric vehicleમાં tailpipe exhaust ન હોવાથી conventional emission test applicable ન હોઈ શકે. Hybrid અથવા fuel-powered vehicle માટે RC fuel type અને current transport-department rule તપાસો.
હવે શું કરવું?
પહેલા current certificateની valid-up-to date તપાસો. Certificate valid હોય પરંતુ copy ન હોય તો official portal પરથી registration number અને chassisના last five charactersથી download કરો. Certificate expired અથવા unavailable હોય તો active authorised centre શોધીને vehicleનું emission test કરાવો અને issued Form 59ની details તરત verify કરો.
